Which is right for me? Screen printing vs digital printing

In Digital printing, Screen printing | on Tuesday, August 5, 2014

At Arti Promotions we offer a wide range of different printing methods to cater for any requirement.  Whether you’d like to get one t-shirt printed or 500 sweaters, we have the skills and the equipment to meet any order.  When placing your order with us you will need to let us know which method of printing you would like us to use to fulfil your order.

There are a few questions that you can ask yourself to help to decide whether screen or digital printing is best for your project.

How detailed and colourful is your artwork?

Are you printing a simple design or a photograph onto your clothing? How many colours do you think are used in your design?

If your design isn’t too detailed then screen printing may be a great option for you.

However if you want a very sharp and detailed picture like a photograph printed onto your clothing then transfer or CAD digital printing may give a better finish as computers are capable of printing many different gradients of colour.

How many garments need printing?

If you’re placing a very small order for clothing featuring a very detailed design or a photograph then digital CAD printing or transfer printing may be more suitable as it is often more cost-effective when printing small orders.

However if your design is fairly simple and only features a handful of different colours then screen printing may be a more cost-effective option.
